Moments away from Bristol’s Memorial Stadium and County Ground, The Wellington has become a much-loved and equally well-known venue. You can’t fail to spot the large, detached, traditional red-brick pub at the top of Gloucester Road.
Recently refurbished, it now boasts a large, open space dining room where a classic menu is served including breakfast, lunch, dinner and a menu for your little treasures. All food is freshly cooked and made with locally sourced quality ingredients from our trusted suppliers. There is also a long bar where a fantastic selection of well-kept real ales and craft beer is served. Have a good look around the pub, and you will see plenty of quirky design cues including reclaimed wood, comfortable banquettes and chairs; see if you can discover the former front door which has been dipped and re-used somewhere in the pub... At the back of the pubs is the patio beer garden, which really comes into its own in warmer weather and there is plenty of space for al fresco drinking and dining.
There are also 8 guest rooms in The Wellington offering boutique-style accommodation, ranging from double and twin rooms to king size rooms. All are decorated in a fresh, contemporary and comfortable style, and each comes with full amenities including a private, modern bathroom with shower, complimentary tea and coffee-making facilities and a flat screen TV. Free internet access is also available. It’s an ideal place to stay whether you're in Bristol on business, going to a sports fixture or when you’ve got family visiting.
