Jon Cleary at The Lantern

Jon Cleary is a highly respected pianist, guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. Originally from Kent, England, he has resided in New Orleans, USA for over thirty years and has become expertly versed in the distinctive piano-led funk and RnB styles from that region. He has released eight studio albums; the most recent, ‘Go Go Juice’ (2016) featured horn parts composed by New Orleans legend Allen Toussaint, and received a Grammy for Best Regional Roots Music Album.

Opening the night will be Amythyst Kiah, a Tennessee-based singer, banjo player and guitarist who crosses boundaries with her roots-inspired original material and persuasive reinterpretations of songs borrowed from throughout the last century.
