Barnstormer becomes…Barnsey!

Barnstormer is a beer that is well established in the Bath Ales range. It is a distinctively complex ale with a terrific flavour as delicate hop oils mingle with the aromas of the various coloured malts, excellently showing off the skill of the artisan brewer. Barnstormer is a great beer and as a result it has quite a following

And it is out of respect for this following that we want to inform you that we are going into January with a name change, and that Barnstormer will become Barnsey as of 2012.

The beer was originally named as a tongue-in-cheek joke in dubious honour of good friend Stuart Barnes, the ex-Bath Rugby and England fly half;  in essence a bit of fun. So the new name continues to reflect our considerable admiration for Stuart (known affectionately as Barrel Barnsey) who still enjoys a beer or two with his mates at Bath Ales – and whomever else he can corner…

The same recognisable look, the same great beer and that same characteristic taste… Barnsey it is!
