Pubs for those who know...

“Forget the pretension of trendy here-today-gone-tomorrow bars: Bath Ales pubs are tastefully and individually decorated and offer something special for locals, drinkers and foodies alike.”

...and those who don’t

When it comes to expanding our family of pubs, we only choose places whose character, location and potential all fit with what we and our customers like. And while you’ll no doubt spot the Bath Ales genes shared by each establishment, our aim is to ensure that each pub’s individuality can shine through and reward the visitor in its own special way.

Fresh thinking

It’s not just the pub environment that we care about, however. We’re passionate about looking after the wider environment too.

In our pubs, we keep food miles to a minimum by sourcing all of our food (with the exception of fresh fish) from within a 40 mile radius.

We only serve Fairtrade coffee, and the bottled water we sell is from Frank Water. They’re a local charity who bottle their water here in the South West but use their profits to help establish and maintain clean water supplies for people in the Third World.

Given all of this, it follows that we’re also keen recyclers. All glass, cardboard and paper is recycled. And to reduce waste we encourage our suppliers to minimise the packaging on the goods we buy in.

So from The Bridge to The Wellington, and from Bath to Bristol, via all those pubs and places in between, we invite you to drop by for a drink, enjoy a bite to eat and to make yourself very much at home.

We hope that you find it a great experience in its own right, as well as one that has a better impact on the world around us.
