Clifton’s
hidden treasure
The Eldon is often referred to as the Triangle’s best kept secret. Since we took over this traditional little pub, nestled on the edge of the leafy slopes of Clifton, its reputation for providing a well-kept range of ales has been firmly established.
New managers Alec and Pauline have introduced an exciting new menu (take a look by clicking on the link) and the lunchtime dishes can be ready within 10 minutes – perfect if you've not got the world's longest lunchbreak.
What’s more, we reckon the Sunday roast (available from midday to 4pm) is one of the best in the region.

The Eldon is a little out of the
way, but we think it’s better to be out of the way than
in the way. In any case, we’re only talking a five-minute
stroll from Park Street, the Triangle or Clifton Village.
