About Bath Ales
Traditional brewing techniques blended with cutting-edge technology. Local breweries don't get much better than this.
Our brewery
Bath Ales is an independent brewery, established all the way back in 1995. OK, that doesn’t sound like such a long time, but so much has happened in the 15 or so years since we started.
Our founders all come from a brewing background and share a passion for craft ale. Never a company to stand still, we've grown steadily and our brewery is now complemented by a bottling plant, a brewery shop, and a thriving estate of pubs in the West of England.
Our brewery is conveniently situated between Bath and Bristol in Warmley. Here, cutting edge technology – including our highly efficient steam-driven brewing plant – blends with our brewers' skill and patience, and the use of time-honoured brewing techniques.

Our beers
We like to say that our ales are "brewed for those who know… and for those who don't". We aim to create beers that satisfy the connoisseurs yet remain accessible to those discovering the joys of craft ale for the first time – and we always strive for quality above all else.
Our distinctive beers range from Gem, our bitter-sweet flagship amber ale, and Dark Side, our delicious chocolaty stout, to the more esoteric flavours of Ginger Hare, and seasonal favourites such as Festivity, our winter porter. With such a rich and diverse choice of carefully crafted ales, we're sure you'll find a beer to not simply suit your palate, but perfectly please it.
Our pubs
Forget the pretension of trendy here-today-gone-tomorrow bars, Bath Ales pubs are tastefully and individually decorated – and they offer something special for locals, drinkers and foodies alike.
Food miles are kept to a minimum by sourcing all of our produce (with the exception of fresh fish) locally where possible. All of our meat is sourced from top quality British producers, with high standards of animal welfare.
As with everything we do, our focus with our pubs is on quality and individuality – characteristics that we hope are evident in the surroundings, the service, the sumptuous food, and, of course, the superb beers you’ll find in each establishment.
